Why a Private Personal Training Studio Can Be Better Than a Mainstream Gym
A private personal training studio offers a very different experience
But if you’ve ever joined a gym only to stop going a few weeks later, felt unsure about what exercises to do, or found the whole environment a little intimidating, a private personal training studio can offer a very different experience.
At Rosebery Personal Training, we work primarily with adults aged 30–60 who want to get stronger, improve their fitness and body composition, and feel better in themselves without having to navigate a crowded commercial gym. We also offer support for clients on GLP-1's.
One of the biggest differences between training alone and working with a personal trainer is knowing what to do when you arrive.
Walking into a large gym and seeing rows of machines can be overwhelming, particularly if you haven’t trained for a while. Even if you know the basics, it can be difficult to know whether you’re using the right resistance, performing an exercise correctly or progressing at the right pace.
Personal training removes much of that guesswork. Your programme can be adjusted to your current ability and goals, while your coach can watch your technique and help you progress as your strength and confidence improve.
Not everyone enjoys a busy gym. Waiting for equipment, feeling self-conscious or simply being surrounded by a lot of people can make exercise less enjoyable than it needs to be. A private studio provides a more focused environment where training is the priority.
For many adults returning to exercise after a long break, that can make it much easier to establish a regular routine.
Rosebery Personal Training uses a slightly different approach to the traditional personal training session.
You don't need to love gyms to benefit from strength training. As we get older, maintaining strength becomes increasingly important for everyday movement, independence and staying active.
For many people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond, the goal isn't to become a bodybuilder or spend hours in a gym. It's to feel stronger, move better, improve fitness, change body composition and have the confidence to keep doing the things they enjoy. That's where supervised strength training can be particularly valuable.
Rosebery Personal Training is led by Head Coach Ali, who brings around 30 years of experience in training, strength and nutrition.
That experience is particularly useful when working with adults whose needs may be very different from those they had in their twenties.
Good personal training isn't simply about making a workout harder. It's about choosing appropriate exercises, teaching good technique and knowing when and how to progress.
A private studio may suit you if you:
You don't need to be fit before you start. That's what training is for.
If you'd like to see whether private personal training suits you, you can start with a 60-minute Trial PT session for $35 at our Rosebery studio.
You'll get to experience the studio, meet your coach and see how our approach to supervised training works before deciding what you'd like to do next.
